Helios Methanol FZE is recently inaugurated following the registration with the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA) in Nigeria. The Company is under the planning stage of Nigeria’s first methanol plant with an annual capacity of 5000MTPD.
The plant will be situated in the industrial zone of Akwa Ibom in Uyo State, Nigeria.
Methanol Facts
=> Methanol has been manufactured from coal, naphtha and natural gas.
=> Methanol is called Methyl Alcohol, Wood Alcohol and Carbonyl.
=> Methanol is a clear, colorless, flammable liquid with a characteristic odor.
=> It is a clean energy source, as well as a raw material for some of the items we use.
=> Methanol is used as a raw material for the manufacturing of Solvents, Formaldehyde, Methyl Amine, Acetic Acid, Acetic Anhydride, DME and MTBE.
=> Methanol is also used in fuel.
=> HELOUS plant is designed to produce 5000 metric tons per day of US Federal Grade AA methanol.
